Meet our Team


Nadia R. Moreno, LMSW

Nadia R. Moreno graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2004, and in 2012 she graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with her Master of Social Work Degree. Nadia is a Ph.D student at OLLU. Her research focuses on adolescent suicide, where she aims to explore the lived experiences of survivors of suicide. She began working with AISD in 2009, and currently serves as the Director of the School Climate Transformation Grant.

Angel C. Espinoza, LMSW


Angel C. Espinoza graduated with his Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2016 and later obtained his Master of Social Work Degree in 2019. He began working with AISD in 2016, and currently serves as the School Social Worker at William Adams Middle School.

  • Conducting bio-psychosocial assessments and social histories

  • Providing crisis management services, including assessing for safety 

  • Advocating for student services and students' best interests

  • Developing intervention strategies to increase academic success

  • Help student develop appropriate social interaction skills
