Dr. Marissa kubala - principal

Born and raised in Alice, Texas, I graduated from Alice High School in 1992. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1997. I taught English Language Arts, grades 8-12, for 16 years at William Adams Junior High and Alice High School. In 2011, I graduated from Texas A&M-Kingsville with my masters in Educational Administration, and I earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership in May 2014. I was the Alice High School Campus Testing Coordinator from 2014-2015. For two years I served as the Dean of Instruction for Alice High School . In August 2015, I was named the Alice Early College High School Principal. My husband Kim Kubala and I have been married for 23 years, and we have two children: Sara, age 22, an Alice High School class of 2019 graduate and University of Texas at San Antonio class of 2022 graduate; and Austin, age 14, a freshman student at Alice High School.
